Born from the debris of a post-pandemic world, Cost Connect Pty Ltd is a consultancy firm offering cost planning, estimating and preconstruction services to developers, builders, project managers and subcontractors.
Our purpose is to bridge the gap between property development and construction professionals to help make their projects feasible.
We do this through a comprehensive understanding of the project life cycle and the development process by ensuring thorough consultation with key stakeholders on each project, while taking all necessary steps to mitigate risk, and capitalise on opportunities that will benefit our clients.

The building industry has witnessed extraordinary and unprecedented headwinds. Large-scale lockdowns have wreaked havoc on global supply chains, and international travel restrictions gave rise to both labour shortages and exponential wage growth within the sector.
Paired with adverse weather patterns that have prolonged construction programmes and caused major delays, as well as rising inflation, the sector is experiencing a significant decline in demand and affordability and a disconnect between developers and builders and; builders and subcontractors.
Our vision is to contribute to the industry in a positive way by building a legacy of successful projects and continuation of strong professional relationships. Through untangling and simplifying the development and preconstruction process we hope that Cost Connect will be a name remembered for years to come.

Founded by Taariq Abdurahman, Cost Connect Pty Ltd is the result of a decade long vision bringing multi-disciplined cost planning expertise to developers of all sizes to effectively and more efficiently manage the project life-cycle and improve financial outcomes.
With almost 20 years of experience in the building and construction industry, Taariq possesses a thorough understanding and application of construction, engineering and finance disciplines with a strong focus on helping developers and builders of all sizes to effectively manage their projects through various stages of the project life cycle.
Cost Connect Pty Ltd adopts a strategic approach to understand and deliver against the clients established objectives, challenging the status quo and adopting innovations that improve efficiencies on projects. Cost Connect Pty Ltd has the ability to bridge the gap between development, design and construction teams to establish strong industry relationships built on foundations of trust, transparency, reliability and commitment to feasibility.
Having held senior roles in publicly listed companies and management roles in the private sector, Taariq’ s experience spans across Australasia working on a range of projects – both large and small scale.
Through years of tertiary education, pre-construction and on-site project management, Taariq has developed a unique skillset that has enabled him to understand the requirements of the project through the lens of the various stakeholders involved.
